Blacktongue Imp

Blacktongue imps may have more vegetarian leanings than most of their kin, but they are just as fond of their tricks and pranks. Blacktongue imps especially favor insults and sarcasm as a way to trip people up and they can be surprisingly foul mouthed. In fact, blacktongue imps are more than capable of upsetting anything but the most stoic of people with their near surgical ability to pick people apart and determine what will nettle them the most. And as they have been subjected to a near constant stream of such behaviour from their own kind, blacktongue imps themselves are incredibly hard to provoke.   Such behavior often result in people desiring to respond to the imp's commentary with physical violence. While hardy and more than capable of taking a good thwack from a frying pan with a smile, blacktongue imps are not suicidal and will defend themselves if necessary. In combat, they use their quips to provoke their target into overextending themselves, then swoop in to deliver a lick from their venomous tongues until the target falls asleep.   When the target wakes up, they usually find themselves left tied up in a compromising position, the imps' revenge for responding to insults with violence.

Their feet ends in clawed toes that automatically close around this, allowing imps to sleep attack to surfaces. Like all imps, they are very resilient, their bodies minimizing most form of damage they take.

Genetics and Reproduction

Blacktongue imps reproduce through sexual intercourse. Once impregnated, the female imp carries the young, usually two to three of them, to term. Like the adults, even unborn imps are tough and female imps rarely let anything but the most late-stage pregnancy get in the way of their fun.

They supplement their diet with small animals, which they subdue with their venom.
