Blast Armour

As dwarves  began adopting the use of black powder in explosives, they quickly began reading the writing on the wall. It would inevitable see large scale use in combat. The blast armor is aset of heavy armor crafted to minimize the effectiveness of explosives on the wearer. It thus see use both by dwarven forces expecting the enemy to use such tools, as well as dwarves who have to deploy them. The design was heavily tested with actual explosives and its layers of metal and intricately interlocked components protects the wearer both from the explosive force, the heat and any shrapnel. However, to offer such protection the armor had to become exceedingly heavy and not just anyone can wear it, even compared to regular heavy armor.
