Bomb Jacket
The bomb jacket is a piece of armor that would most likely evoke pity or derision among the uninformed. Plates of scrap metal jangling against each other, often somewhat hindering the one wearing it, makes for a comedic image. However, once the threads holding the plates together finally snap, the true purpose of the armor becomes clear.
The bomb jacket serves as a wearable explosive. The plates protect both the goblin wearing it and the explosive payload. Once the armor has absorbed as much damage as it can, the idea is to activate the explosives and hurl the whole thing at the enemy. However, it is not uncommon for cornered goblins to activate while wearing it, sacrificing themselves to harm the enemy.
Manufacturing process
The explosives are often mass produced in workshops, though the bomb jacket itself is assembled by hand.
Significance
Not to the goblins themselves, but to other races it serves as a frightening reminder of the goblins' willingness to sacrifice.
