Cannonguard Mail

Cannonguard mail is a set of armor invented by orcs to protect from artillery. Specifically their own, as they had a bad habit of blasting open when fired, injuring or killing the operator. Later versions of the armor including heavy plating for the arms and especially the fists, the idea being that if the artillerist was too busy operating to grab a weapon, any attackers could be handled with a solid punch.

Manufacturing process

The numerous plates are formed, then attached to each other to form the shape of the armour.
