Electrosword
Of the many types of construction, one of the newer ones to take off is that of electricity. Eager to harness this bottled lightning for combat, some humans came up with the electro sword, a simple application where an attached battery can electrify the blade.
It proved succesful enough that many adventures wield one, but it is not without risk. The exposed wiring can be cut and thus not only turn the weapon off, but also put the wielder at risk of electrocution.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
A simple battler is attached via wires to the blade. With a flick of a small switch, it electrifies the blade.

Forged like a standard sword, but at the end the battery-casing and wires are attached.
