Fire Elemental

Born from one of the most animate of elements, fire elemental are energetic, eager and excitable beings. They have a thirst for life and an eagerness to experience things that lead them to throw themselves into anything but the most obviously stupid or suicidal situations. They tend towards wearing their metaphorical heart on their sleeve and their passions are obvious. This same passion also has a downside. Fire elementals often put so much energy into what they're doing that they quite literally burn themselves out. They are also temperamental beings, who gladly and immediately repay any insult.
When roused to combat, which is honesty not that hard, fire elementals are aggressive, trusting their bodies to handle whatever that is throw their way. They strike hard and fast, with only the threat of water giving them reason to pause.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Fire elementals are an amorphous shapes made entirely of fire, often without any obvious source or fuel.  As they are an animated chemical process, their bodies can contort into very small shapes, allowing them to pass through even the smallest hole with ease. Physical objects have very little effect on them and they are obviously unbothered by fire. Water, however, is very dangerous to them and can snuff them out entirely. They radiate heat, which can be dangerous if one gets too close without protection. They are very heavily affected by their environment. Cold or wet areas slowly sap them of life, while warm areas fill them with energy. In particularly hot enviroments, their very presence has been known to melt metal.

Genetics and Reproduction

Fire elementals are born in areas of warmth and heat where primal magic coalescences. Volcanoes and deserts commonly produce them.

Ecology and Habitats

Fire elementals stick to places of high heat if they can. They rarely find need to protect these places, but occasionally get into conflict with ambitious people who wants to "improve" the desert via various means.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Fire elementals are nourished by fire. They have been known to occasionally start small fires to bask in.
