Timelink
The timelink is a curious phenomena of what can only be described as relative time. Each world heart undergoes a cycle at its own pace. In one sphere a complete cycle may take twice as long as in another. But if one was to experience this cycle and then manage to journey to the second sphere, one would find that only one cycle would have passed there too, despite the first sphere taking twice as long.
To date, no world heart has been found that is an exception to this rule. All cycles happen simultaneously, even if they are of different lengths. This allows for standardized calendars to be useful. The length of cycles does not, however, does not confer any benefits in regards to aging. As such, people who have been seperated for al ong time in different spheres will often find that one of them as grown notably older than the other.
While cycles vary, the difference never seems too extreme. It is hypothetically possible for there to be spheres where a single cycle would take an entire lifetime, but one with such a quality has yet to be found. Theoretically, a damaged world heart could potentially fall out of sync, but the consequences of such an event is unknown, but most likely dangerous.
