The illness that took the Illithids from the Age of Light to the Entropic Dynasty. Information on this is scarce where it exists, and under extreme lock and key where it is stored. For information on its documented cultural effects, please see the article on The Illithid Empire. All we know is that it was discovered or found, or came to be a long time ago, and everything has been going downhill ever since. Countless acts of barbarism committed in its name, madness unlike anything else brought up by its sheer existential weight. Entropy is a disease that kills without question. Spreads with no reason, and has taken the light from entire regions of the Astral Sea and generations, trillions, of its inhabitants.

What follows is a list of symptoms, as released by the Alhoon Science Division of the Illithid Empire.

• Coughing.
• Sporadic episodes of physical weakness.
• Loss of taste.
• Increased episodes of physical weakness --- bedrest required after exertion.
• Loss of ability to perceive colors. Muted vision.
• Distinct physical pallor.
• Loss of sense of Taste.
• Loss of feeling in extremities.
• Extreme physical weakness --- bed-ridden most likely.
• Greying of the skin.
• Pronounced green veins.
• Death.
