Druids of Fin-Allan
The druids of Fin-Allan represent the spiritual life of the Khelish population of Fin-Allan. The humans pray to each of the five Khelish gods at these traditionally open-air shrines dotting the cityscape. Funded by tithes and grants by the guilds, nobility, and the common folk, the druids are traditionally apolitical but also serve as a symbol of the traditional Khelish way of life.
The five Khelish gods are.
Cainneach, The High God:, god of kings, skies, and glory
Senn, The Reaper: God of time, endings and death.
Aine, The Wayfarer: Goddess of the sea, travelers, and hospitality
Tailte, The Lifegiver: Goddess of life, harvest, and nature
Dagd, The Bastard: God of scoundrels and the dispossessed.
Most of the shrines in Fin-Allan are dedicated to either Cainneach or Tailte. A key belief of the Khelish that the gods walk among the always, and each of the 5 gods has a mortal avatar of some kind, and whenever one dies, a new one is born. While many powerful people in the past have claimed to be a godly avatar, the druids across Khely have had a policy of not naming any mortal avatars until the avatar’s death. In Cymbar, the last free king of Cymbar is held to have been an avatar of Cainneach.
