Great House
The Great House is a Runberi legal and social concept, referring to an extended family unit with a common business, a common home (on the level of a city or town), and common assets. Generally between 10 and 50 members, the greatness of a house is not measured in the amount of family members it has, but rather the power and influence it wields in its community. In the Runberi understanding, these influential extended families that are rooted in the community, with property in the community, are most invested in the community's success. Thus, the assemblies of Runberi cities and communities are chaired by the masters of these great houses.
Structure
Great houses are extended families, with fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, cousins, sons and daughters. A mixture of a family and a business enterprise, a great house is led by the father or the mother of the house.
