Evanchoris (ee-VANG-ko-riss)

Evanchoris the Corrupter, Witch of the West, was the source of much war and suffering in the latter years of the Age of Darkness. At the height of her power, she controlled lands from north of the Midrun Sea, through the western side of the Empire Mountains, Karsha, Aibrea, and south to the coast of the Sun Sea. Her armies, made up of the forces of Karsha, allied with the Galdeans of southern Wessa, was expanded by mercenary soldiers from southern Vensia (both Tuerguns and Uruks), as will as conscripted skirmishers among the southern Skraelings and Thrau.
Her orgins are unknown, and highly debated among scholars. Some say she was descended from Elvani nobility, other suggest that she was actually a "fallen" Ilmatar (though that seems unlikely). Her ethereal power was legendary, especially in the school of necromancy. She was known for employing Janniri in her forces, including feral ghuls and winged shadow-gobelins as spies.
