Luodea

The land of Luodea lies east of Naodra and north of the Empire Mountains. Near Naodra on the western side, it primarily consists of plains, but nearer the eastern side there is more hilly lands, especially near the mountains at the south and north ends of the region. The name is based on the Kainen word "luode," meaning Northwest, since it is the land northwest of the Kainen homeland of Kotimaa.
Nomadic Kainen tribes regulary pass through the region, in spite of the Ogrim threat throughout the north. Luodea has had a large concentration of the traullish Kulder ("ice trolls") who dwell in the foothills of the Empire Mountains. In the Age of Epiphany, it was the original homeland of the Leidenkainen tribes, who had good relations with (Duergun) Ummir Kingdoms of the mountains
Leidenite warriors were among the first men of Wessa brought through the Gate of Auvorene to land of Aishelon to serve as Guardians of the Crucible in the Age of Epiphany.
