Port Hansra

Port Hansra a large Lansian seaport at the mouth of the Caal River on the southern coast of Midrun Sea. It was built over an ancient Elvaen city called Eisothos (ice-OW-thos), an elvean word meaning: “gateway” or “entry” (it was, and still is, the primary port of river access into Midrun inlands). In ancient days (thousands of years ago) it was a flourishing elvaen trade city. The Kamara, the great arched bridge built in those days, still stands as a marvel of ethereal architecture.
In ancient days, the lands at the mouth of the Caal River would experience severe flooding on a yearly basis. So the elvaen inhabitants invented an ingenious network of subterranean channels to divert water beneath the city itself. They called their engineering marvel the thik-tuoma (theek-TU-ma), meaning: the “network”or “grid.” The thik-tuoma needed regular maintenance, however, so the elvaens conscripted workers from among the lesser folk of the region to work the underground waterways. Through etheric manipulation, they altered these slaves to coexist with their environment, charged with the obligation of preserving the Grid). The descendants of the altered were-rat slaves are the Fear’darrig (or “rat-boys” as they are known Hansra today).

Character/Adventure History:
The questing party came to Port Hansra seeking a ship to take them across the Midrun Sea. Scalam died at the hand of were-rats below the city, having been led there along with the rest of the party by a guild assassin named Remagal. The party met Pana the White aboard the ship Gidira, whose captain was a Sauran lizard-man named Pholerus.
