The Keruvim (ker-oo-VEEM)
Commonly referred to as the "Sentinals," the Keruvim are angelic guardian-beasts that serve under the command of God. They appear as winged creatures in form of a great lion. The Sentinals are said to surround the throne of God in heaven, and serve as the mounts of God.
Keruvim Sentinals are often portrayed in ancient religious art. In some artistic representation they are sometimes portrayed with the head of a bull, an eagle, or with the face of a human being.
The Keruvim are sentient beings, created for the service of God. Beings of air and fire, they possess spiritual bodies, and can manifest themselves in the physical/material world, taking on animal-like forms. However, these angelic creatures rarely interact with humans in open and visible ways.
Their powers are so far beyond that of mortals that they cannot adequately be measured in game-terms (LV, DR, etc.). These include:
• immunity to all material attacks (physical/ethereal attacks), they cannot be harmed by mortal creatures
• innate ethereal ability to craft any formula available, with ethereal weapons (max. weapon dam. x d10)
• the ability to manifest in glory — ie. a radiant white/glowing appearance (onlookers roll CON and CHA)
• the ability to transform, at will, into the appearance of any material form or creature
• the ability to speak/understand any human language (fully-telepathic)
• the ability to teleport to any location will
