Touri Southaven (TUWR-ee)
Born to commoners, Touri started his career as a man-at-arms, who entered into the service of the Lady Teroth Eamarilth. Through some strange ethereal experience (about which he has never told the full story), Touri has long been renowned for having supernatural strength. In his prime, he was a formidable warrior.
Touri prides himself on being a jack-of-all-trades. Though he did receive formal bardic training from Lunari masters, he never became more than a servicable musician. But he did pick up a subtle skill in personal persuasion. In his early years he ventured to lands both north and south. He served as an emissary to the frozen lands of Vhoria. He also spent time among the desert Saurians, having been shipwrecked in the southern lands of the Saurians (see map below). Much of his personal wealth was gained during his time in the south.
Because of his association with Lady Eamarilth, eventually, Touri rose to a political postion -- having entered into a Wessan ducal family through his marriage to the Lady Rialla of Southaven, daughter of the former duke. Located on the Sun Sea, Southaven was recognized as the southernmost port of the Great Kingdom. While commonly known as Duke Southaven, the title was never formally granted to him by the king in Telaphra. (No one would dare point that out in his presence.)
After the fall of Southaven to Galdean expansion, he led an expedition of colonists west to establish the Duchy of Vestfal. He later became the self-proclaimed King of Vestfal sponsoring the search for the lost shards of the Crucible.
