MoM Session 2: Knight of Cups

Still with plenty of mysteries to unravel, the cabal started exploring more leads around the city to figure out what had caused Tuesday's strange phenomena. A lot of their leads pointed them towards the Historic Third Ward, where an archmage by the name of Mr. Arkadin was filming scenes for his latest movie. The cabal managed to notice the nimbus of several mages throughout the set, and when two of these individuals left for a nearby parking lot the cabal decided to split up and follow the two options. Gabriel and Medea intercepted the two strangers as they tried to drive away in an old sedan, Gabriel managing to see through their illusions and notice their Russian accents. The strangers started driving away and one of them tried to stun them both with an improvised spell, but Gabriel made the spell's potency fade away with a wave of his hand while Medea started improvising a spell of her own. Within moments the sedan crashed into one of the garage's concrete pillars, its driver and passenger blinded and defeaned and driven insane by Medea's spellcasting. They waited around long enough to make sure that EMT's arrived to take care of the strangers, in the meantime rummaging through the sedan's glove compartment to find any clues about the stranger's identities. It turns out the strangers were affiliated with two different organizations: the Seers of the Throne and a strange Soviet group known as GRU Division P. Meanwhile Slush and Rembrandt sneaked onto set to search for any arcane activity, eventually speaking with Mr. Arkadin to see if he'd noticed anything unusual. The archmage explained that he'd noticed the two individuals acting strange on set then asked them to leave, providing some of his own experience with supernatural phenomena to help the cabal deal with their current situation. Earlier in the day the cabal had successfully identified the nimbus of an alien entity present at both the convenient store's lottery tickets and the beer can statue, so the party was starting to figure out that they were dealing with something pretty powerful.
