WHiV Session 3: Reliable Sources
General Summary
Aug. 19 - Aug. 20, 1994
Narrowly avoiding a run-in with a couple vampires, Eleanor Seagraves decided to lay low for a couple days while David and Kate continued their investigation into the person responsible for summoning the Ghostface Killer. Meeting up with Arthur Wriley at a diner in the historic part of town, the Wizkid mage agreed to do some research for them in exchange for David's laptop with footage from the night of the Vegas World Massacre (it seemed like a piece of footage pre-massacre caught his attention). The hunters kept their distance from their friends and family, knowing that the hunt was getting dangerous as Moe Green and other monsters on the strip pieced together their identities. The next day Arthur called with some exciting news about the identity of the person who summoned the Ghostface Killer on New Year's Eve: Cella Vivaldi, CEO of Viv Media. She was at the Vegas World Casino the night of the massacre, but to get to her the hunters would have to drive out to either Los Angeles or New York. K wanted to hunt down the person responsible for the Massacre that killed her friend, but she was also reluctant to return to LA where a lot of old enemies still resided. Meanwhile David wanted to keep the mission focused on Moe and the other vampires in Vegas, especially since it was clear they were trying to summon a Ghostface of their own. Torn between different strategies, the hunters decided to see how far each side would go by meeting with a reporter employed by Viv Media: Jenny Slater. Giving her a sob story about a vampire attack at the Dunes, they gave Slater enough material for an evening radio broadcast that would catch Moe Green's attention. Sure enough, a black car pulled up to the news station later that night to rough up the reporter, and with the hunters staking out the place all afternoon they were ready for a fight.
