Ice Bolt

The upgraded version of Ice Ball. Ice Bolt launches a solid sphere or bolt of condensed anti-thermal energy (frozen water) towards a target, while using additional tracing magic to home in on the target destination as the opponent moves. On impact, the bolt explodes, releasing a burst of cold air in all directions while applying a mist of ice to the impact area, dealing ice elemental magical damage.

Side/Secondary Effects

Those hit by ice magic of this caliber can expect to suffer a severe reduction in body temperature, strongest where the impact occurred. The effect is not harmful to a person's health, but causes that person to experience a great reduction of heat throughout the body, as if they were standing in a blizzard without any clothes or other heat sources, which particularly slows down their movements. On physical objects however, this spell has the ability to coat materials in a collection of ice, though it will melt very quickly.

Manifestation

A concentrated sphere of ice and cold mist whirling through the air a high rate of speed. The cyan-colored glyphring is both larger and louder with its wind-up whistling noise effect. Ice Bolts travel a little slower than Ice Balls, but they are more powerful and contain targeted homing properties on the intended target with a moderate turn rate through the air. The Bolts are larger, brighter, and colder.
