Artimus Scanner

A special kind of scanner developed cheaply by Quantech and available in Sprawn Valley. This device is designed to perform a detailed mapping scan of large underground areas and ravines, provided that at least some minor seismic activity (or other energy disturbances) is present in that area.
Access & Availability
Mainly for geographers, does not cost too much to develope.
Complexity
The scanner relies on the presence of energy disturbances for the area that is being scanned, but the sensors can penetrate as deep underground as 3 miles. The scanners use a constant displacement reference ratio compared to a cold scan or existing underground maps with seismic and thermal activities to determine what is in the underground area.
Discovery
Developed by Quantech Labratories, in early 1950.
