Auric Wrath

Auric Wrath is a rare summon ability not learnable by humans, specific to the Aero Drake as summoned by the Whicked Whyrl spell. Auric Wrath is a very rare skill even through the Aero Drake, and one greatly understudied by scientific mages. On the surface, it appears as though the drake uses its glowing eyes to glare into the soul of its opposing target, striking great fear into the human challenging him within seconds. But with further analysis, it seems that the newly named Auric Wrath is an unseen highly unique aura penetration ability. The Aero Drakes have powerful souls, and through this skill have the power to link their own magical aura to a person's personal aura, for the purpose of malicious sharing of his absolute wrath and anger. Aero Drakes by nature are very aggressive creatures, and hold "the dragon's wrath" in most times of combat, which is a kind of fighting spirit based on internal dominance and temporary anger against its target. So when the aura of the drake links this kind of emotion to the personal aura of the human target, that person is suddenly overwhelmed with intense fear and inferiority, as if the ultimate predator is staring down that human ready to leave nothing behind. The feeling of fear and inferiority however must be present on some level to begin with; those with a total absence of fear will be unaffected. The technique technically is not a spell, but a minuscule amount of MP energy from the drake is used to establish this hostile link. When this happens, an aura link similar to a summoning aura is established between the two, with the drake attempting dominance over the human. It is strong enough to simultaneously override and remove any previously existing summoning aura the wielder may have running with another creature should that be the situation. This is essentially the rare skill that an Aero Drake will use to use fear to get their opponent to quit and give up early, usually before ending the fight with a very powerful crushing blow of more spells. Still, there is a lot more going on behind the scenes for what this auric link is supposed to look like or how it functions. In the past, mages claimed that such a link between auras is not theoretically possible in the first place. The fact that they are changes the way magical auras and personal auras are viewed, as well as their relation to each other and how one person's personal aura may affect another.

Effect

Attack Form: {Summon Ability} Unknown Malicious Aura Link
Attack Type: Non-Damaging Impulse of Predatory Fear
Glyphring: False

Side/Secondary Effects

The effect on wielders is not a magical one, but a psychological one. So, there is no average time limit or known cure/counter for this. Most wielders when affected by this hostile skill quit the battle early, cower in fear, and run off abandoning their battle in hopes of trying to acquire their own Aero Drake.

Manifestation

The exact sensation is not well understood, but the evidence proves how highly effective the drake is in installing fear using this technique. From the outside perspective, this looks more like a stare down, but the drake's eyes glow orange or yellow for the use of this skill.
