Blast Wave

Blast Wave is the direct evolution spell from Radial Blast. The functions and invocation are the same. Blast Wave makes the explosions slightly more powerful and more concentrated in general location to the specific target area, for an increased cost in MP energy consumption. Blast Wave basically bombards the field in a smaller, more defined area to dramatically increase the random chances of each explosion hitting the target whether they are moving or not, by reducing the total range of area in which these explosions occur.

Side/Secondary Effects

The user of this spell can take damage from these explosions too, but often at a reduced effectiveness.

Manifestation

The user generates a fairly small yellow glyphring around their wrist, which controls the directions and flow of Leray magic to generates the barrages of various explosions. Since this spell uses magical explosive energy, there is no shrapnel in the field. The area, up to 44% of the battlefield size is randomly hit with these explosions over the course of several seconds, with about 5 explosions detonating per second.
