Blazing Sword
Blazing Sword is an enchantment spell, in which the wielder uses fire magic to coat their metal blade in an aura of flames. An elemental magical damage aura is a unique phenomenon in Leray magic that has several applications. The official skill of Blazing Sword is not an attack move, just an enchantment. This particular spell takes some time for the full effects to become usable too, compared to the elevated quick attack version, Crimson Blade. When one adds this aura to their blade, the aura persists for some time without additional focus on that aura. When the sword is used to slash into opponents, that aura inflicts fire elemental damage with each strike. Additionally, this aura can absorb lower level fire projectiles when deflected. While Blazing Sword only works on swords, the same attribute of fire can be applied to other weapons, often under a different spell name. This skill is usable with shorts swords and long swords, but use with longer blades will encourage longer lasting aura durations.

Side/Secondary Effects
If the sword is generated through a glyphring, the blade and the aura itself will take twice as long to invoke, while aura itself will last for only half the average duration than when used normally.
Manifestation
The blade becomes engulfed in a blaze of fire magic, which arguably does not appear as ordinary fire and flames. Fire magic is aesthetically enhanced to flow with lower amplitudes and higher bloom effects, while the coloration deteriorates over time from a strong yellow glow to a dim orange haze of embers. The handle of the sword is not affected by the aura, elsewise the wielder would be burned by their own spell. The aura stays attached to the blade during its entire lifetime, and inflicting damage on another target does not affect the remaining lifespan of that aura.

Material Components
While totally optional, Fire Infusion Orbs have the ability to invoke Blazing Sowrd to a prepared weapon without the use of one's personal MP energy. With a steady supply of these orbs, one can use this spell without using their own magic.
Gestures & Ritual
The aura is applied to the blade by exerting the magic through the hand while hovering it over the full length of the blade. Practice with other fire spells is required before success can be expected with this skill.
