Dampen Field

Dampen Field is a protective aura for the wielder that works similarly to Armor of Darkness, only with specific and limited effectiveness. When activated, the user becomes surrounded with a strong dark blue magical aura that severely reduced all magical damage done to them for a fair duration of time. The aura from Dampen Field has a fixed level of protection and a fixed time-based duration, but the aura can also fail earlier from taking enough power-level damage before the time limit. The protective aura is set to cut out 70% of all magical damage, 0% of all physical damage, and a fixed timer of 120 seconds. The effectiveness of the aura's power level is what negates the overall resistance in terms of how much the aura can take before shutting down or failing. Therefore, by practicing with this spell consecutively over time, this resistance gradually goes up to handle a lot worse for a lot longer. This is a standalone spell.

Side/Secondary Effects
