Dark Node
Dark Node is an interesting combination and evolutionary spell mixture of both Mize and Litmus. The spell works by firing off the same kind of beam from Mize with the same instantaneous invocation and effect speed, making it impossible for a wielder to avoid should the aim be spot on. But instead of inflicting any damage on contact, the target is instead hit with most of the effects from Litmus, the hallucination spell. Basically, once the beam hits that other wielder, they will have their senses clouded while experiencing moderate to severe disorientation. The effects of the disorientation or hallucinations are not exactly as powerful as demonstrated with the origional Litmus spell, but the trade off is that these effects tend to last longer. Any human hit with Dark Node is going to have a rough time keeping everything together. Even if they do not hallucinate or lose balance, just concentrating on spell execution can become ten times harder for the full duration that the Dark Node lasts. However, the effects of Dark Node can sometimes fail agianst those with stronger mind, but more research is needed to properly understand what can causes a resistance to these effects.

Manifestation
The spell looks all too similar to the Mize spell, with some changes to the glyphring structure. The amount of time the quick and instant beam lasts is also the same as with Mize, with the obvious difference in the actual spell effect. However, the top mages with full mastery of Dark Node have the ability to alter the transparency and phasic properties of the beam for this particular spell, allowing the beam to become completely and totally invisible. Rarely is this ever observed under any circumstances, but it is possible. Making the beam invisible won't really change the effectiveness, nor do much about preventing evasion since the beam is created instantly upon invocation.
