This is the fifth book of the Leray Series, where Jane separates herself from her only friends, and alters her journey to reach the Den of Purity, running into one problem after another, escalating in severity until a zone of danger thwarts her destiny.
Details: Separated from her friends, Jane recognizes the destructive potential of her self-proclaimed curse, and takes the journey to the Den of Purity alone. Though she becomes far more capable of fighting through Route 96, Jane knows that her total skills are scrambled due to this curse, making this sidetrack that much more important to her. But Route 96 is not the only problem.
Discovering something unheard of before, a dangerous kind of barrier stands in Jane's path of becoming normal again. This dark magic veil called "The Alpha Zero" has been restricted to all non-military personnel due to registering as a category-three danger zone. It is a terrible evil place rumored to spawn deadly magic monsters that have been mutated by dark magic to ruthlessly kill others. Because dark magic veils negate the protective effects of the veil, none who enter will be protected from real time damage or death should fatal injuries occur there.
Jane knows that her chances of surviving this are slim at best, but there is still time to enroll in Lennith's Training Academy to learn year-three Leray magic, or anything that can help her break through. The teacher and a few of the students however can smell that Jane has arrived with ulterior motives. While learning of a way to boost her own defense, more is learned about this mysterious spell bomb and its effects on Jane. If discovered by anyone else, the danger and panic level will become astronomical.
