This is the ninth book of the Leray Series. The invasion of Alpha Zero is too important for Jane to back down. It seems that Danny and Taylor are going to help her in any way they can regardless of the dangers, and regardless of how far off track this places them from the rendezvous at the airport. But with Jane's secret revealed to the most potent mages of Sprawn Valley, will the agents of Eldora Tower help her, or undermine the sanctity of their own reputation?
Details: Jane, Danny, and Taylor form their new signature team for battle, team JDT. All three of them must prepare to storm Alpha Zero with the unwilling assistance of Danton and his own forces of the entire General Army. The target objective is the Den of Purity, and the slime bag who installed the dark veil in the first place. With certainty, Jane realizes that this magic mark has no possible means of removal, but it still won't stop her from fighting for the future of others. This dark veil threatens all of Sprawn Valley, and it must be stopped today.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, the problems with this country intensify once it becomes apparent that the Scarlet Syndicate are fully active again. These criminals are more organized than officials were led to believe, and they are likely responsible for the creation of Alpha Zero. Jane learns more from them, about the man who created this dangerous symbol in the first place, and how he engineered powerful technology for the criminal cult. But as the scientist turns his back on the dark magic wielding maniacs, his life is threatened by the same enemies that oppose them. This magic mark was originally designed by the Scarlet Cult, with intentions to do terrible things. Imagine the frustration that will evolve once they realize where this prototype spell bomb has ended up instead.
Dark magic can be used to kill anything it touches by negating the effects of the veil, and using that same magic may have a potential addicting lure, but the Alpha Zero is far worse and dangerous by comparison. It mutates the wildlife into bloodthirsty beasts of legends, and simultaneously blocks out the protective effects of the Leray veil. A haunting reality now looms over the sitting government of Sprawn Valley, as their eyes are opening to the dangerous situation around them.
