Dimensional Strike

Dimensional Strike is the upgraded version of Splice, with a very similar manifestation and gesture of invocation to the Splice spell. The only two differences of this spell is the visual appearance as well as the power level and nature of how the magic inflicts damage on a target. Dimensional Strike can also be used by dual-wielding bladed weapons, making it even more effective should it hit. However, Dimensional Strike is not more efficient in dealing damage per MP cost compared to Splice unless this skill is used on someone who has a very powerful physical or magical barrier running to block it out. Dimensional Strike is specifically designed to overcome the most potent blockades, even though it can just as easily be dodged or evaded.
The magical signature of Dimensional Strike carries all of its damaging elements through multiple dimensions of space, not just the physical dimension. For this reason, the two-dimensional lines created by this skill (two-dimensional only by appearance) automatically phase right through any non-biological object while still inflicting damage to that object, and any person it cuts through. The most useful moment of this spell ever observed was once when these special lines rendered a strong stone barrier from Earth Glave useless by phasing right through, and another moment observed in the championship battles in which the Dimensional Strike lines phased right through a 100% effective Power Shield aura to cause damage to a supposedly invulnerable wielder during the use of the shielding spell. Used against any target with ultimate defenses, this is the best ability.

Side/Secondary Effects

The skill only inflicts magical slashing damage, but has a strong piercing property in the Dimensional Strike line that allows this line to phase through any tough armor as if to ignore the effect entirely. This as well as the power level and effect of Dimensional Strike is what causes any human target a great deal of slashing and burning pain should they be hit.

Manifestation

Most of the effects seem similar to Splice. The magical glowing lines are somewhat less thick in total area, and have a highly transparent spectral texture with ranges of color between purple and light blue what shift up and down within the line itself. This gives this line an amazing appearance that is rarely seen given how quickly these lines travel through space, which is about 100 meters per second for those experienced with the spell. Outside spectators of battles must be cautious, as this kind of attack will easily phase through the Siriean dome and continue for another 100 meters before dispersing completely.

Gestures & Ritual

The user of this skill can only disperse this Simensional Strike line by slashing their saber through the air in front of them, which will determine the direction and angle that this line will travel. It is in theory possible to merge Dimensional Strike to a physical strike that cuts through an opponent to begin with, but this will not change the effectiveness of the skill.
