Enrage

Enrage is not actually an official ability or skill, but rather a passive state of mind that can affect the magic that is expended by a Leray wielder during invocation. The way dark magic works has to do with the internal mentality of emotion when a wielder is using magical energy. Under ordinary circumstances, they invoke Leray magic, with assistance from the Leray veil. When using dark magic, the spells associated with that format often require the wielder to tap into their inner rage or hatred and focus on intensifying that feeling while attempting to invoke their ability for the dark magic spell to be successful. But there are other ways to use dark magic. The "conversion" method involves initially starting a Leray magic spell only to shift the magic format and turn that spell into a dark magic variation before the invocation is complete and before the payload can be launched. Therefore, while there exists a limited number of spells that is only unique to dark magic, any Leray wielder who knows dark magic can convert their own spells to rely on the same format, a process that involves focusing on that internal rage or hatred. Sometimes, though rarely observed in the wild, Leray wielder may become deeply enraged during a battle for personal reasons, which can lead to an accidental conversion of dark magic from a mental list of ordinary spells, all because they became enraged and focused on this emotion during the combat.   A wielder can for example invoke the ability of Shadow Wave while enraged, causing that Shadow Wave to shift in magical format before it is even launched. When this happens, the wielder unleashes a dark magic version of the Shadow Wave spell, or Dark Shadow Wave for short. When ordinary spells like these shift to the dark magic format, the visual manifestation and payload pattern is unchanged, while the coloration usually turns to a deep crimson red, same with any associated glyphring regardless of elemental attributes. The power level of that spell is also greatly improved, and prone to inflicting real time damage as it will ignore or negate the safety effects of the veil.   Those who know how to become deeply enraged while invoking magical spells will be capable of converting many normal Leray abilities into dark magic formats by keeping that state of mind. The more intense the negative emotion, the stronger the conversion factor will become. This internal skill or state of mind is literally what it takes to learn dark magic, and as stated before can happen by pure accidental chance, however rare. Usually, converting spells to dark magic is a conscious and intentional process. Converting Leray magic spells to dark magic spells is possible for most abilities, but not all abilities. Many support aura spells and summoning auras are exempt from this conversion; it only works mostly on abilities that directly employ magical attacks.

Manifestation

Becoming enraged has different effects based on what personal decisions come afterwards. Converting any Leray spell to a dark magic version will have different appearance affects, but most of all they change in color to red due to Leray veil update 1930-C, making it obvious to all other observers that dark magic is being used in the first place. Wielders who invoke or convert to dark magic also experience the glowing eye effect.
