Laser Swipe

Laser Swipe is a command skill only usable by mechanical machinery. This skill is not entirely magical in nature and cannot be generated by any spell. Laser Swipe has been seen in use by similar automated defense turrets that have a high-energy beam emitter. It has also been reported to be in development for a new automatic mobile laser cannon weapon, called the Railgun (not the Railgun spell). Laser Swipe is as it sounds, a single quick swipe of a high-energy red laser that alone can cut through steel and melt other metals in a matter of seconds. The turrets are designed to automatically use Laser Swipe on biological intruders for total devastation.
Laser Swipe has an incredibly high power level for damage against the protection of the veil, and worse compresses enough energy to inflict a level of pain that is so intense, the veil can do almost nothing to block any of it out. Those hit with a split second of a Laser Swipe will experience pain beyond their wildest measure, as the impact line of their damage will burn through their skin and bubble up with second degree burns regardless of non-metallic dress sphere protections. The attack hits very quickly and is mostly unavoidable since the laser is swept in a sideways motion at a perfect center height to its target, so jumping over the laser is just as difficult. If kept concentrated on a human for more than 2 full seconds, death may occur, but this is only a prediction based on limited data from the turret systems. The turrets often expend most of their existing energy supplies just using the skill once, and need time to recharge their small generators. If used in the Alpha Zero, this laser will become even more powerful and painful.

Side/Secondary Effects

Even in the Alpha Zero, the heat of this laser is so intense that any wound that is drilled by this laser is instantly sealed and fused by the heat contained in its payload. Intense pain will follow for any wielder who is hit by this laser no matter what.
