Light Strike
Light Strike is a very rare but incredibly powerful spell that attacks a target from above while the casting wielder remains defended by a seemingly invulnerable protection aura. The spell is thought to derive functionality with the merging of multiple spells including mastery of the Power Shield ability, but this much is undetermined by scientific mages.
When cast, the wielder charges a tremendous amount of energy into their new aura, mostly materialized from light elemental magical energy. At the same time, a small portion of this MP energy affects their gravity refraction, causing the wielder to slowly float and glide upwards angelically until they ascend up to 30 meters and stay at this height for the remaining duration of this spell.
Light Strike has two modes or phases. When invoked, the user is slowly ascending upwards while already being fully protected to an immense level. This white glowing shielding aura around them has so far proven impenetrable to all sorts of attacks, including those made from the most powerful dark magic spells. The aura does not just prevent the wielder from taking damage, but also absorbs all of the energy coming from hostile attacks, which will later be cycled back into the attack phase of the spell. During this initial defensive phase of charging and absorption, the user can prepare for the second phase of their spell while locking on to their opponet.
The second phase or attack phase of Light Strike takes all of the energy that has been contained within this bright white magical aura, and converts that energy into twenty small spheres of pure light magic. These sphere contain not only the energy of the aura that was charged, but also any additional energy that was absorbed into the aura by hostile attacks, amplifying the power level from what was absorbed during the defensive phase. Once these twenty light spheres materialize, the defensive aura around the wielder is totally dropped while they will descend back to the ground only a few seconds later. Just after the aura is down, these twenty spheres of light magic shot forward at the speed of sound, all homing in and spiraling towards the target. Because of the radial movement of these twenty photons of magic, some may barely miss a stationary target since they spiral and twist somewhat while traveling, but more than half always hit their mark unless unusual evasion methods are taken. Once the target takes the impact of this barrage, in most Leray battles, the fight would already be over given how powerful this spell is. The attack on its own has a natural power level of ten collectivley, but this effect goes even higher if the wielder was assaulted during the defensive stage of the aura building.
Light Strike is by definition the one and only most powerful Leray ability that makes use of light magic, and just as useful for a sudden defensive spell given the understudied properties of this special aura. It is very difficult to learn, but unmatched by any other spell. Most critics cannot possiblt spot any downside to this ability.

Manifestation
See description above. The levitation happens slowly and is assisted when the body is well-balanced. Many wielders hold out both arms straight, giving them the appearance of an "ascending angel", according to many spectators. Most protective auras reflect or sheer away attack spells with the anti-damage noise, but this ability absorbs them and converts them back into damage for the twenty white magic spheres that will eventually be launched.

Discovery
Many are uncertain when Light Strike was created. Some testaments from a damaged journal of an independent investigator suggests that a powerful and secretive mage once displayed this ability while trying to investigate an unknown temple-like structure near the very end of the Avion Wars. This data may be purely anecdotal, or too incomplete to make a conclusion.
