Mize
The glyphring that is associated with this high-intensity beam attack is not even noticed before the target is penetrated with the powerful effect of this narrow but highly painful energy beam. Mize uses non-elemental magic with special properties that are specifically designed to inflict a fair amount of damage instantly, while carrying a very heavy focus on rejecting the pain absorber as much as possibly allowed. So, this beam is created and fades quickly, but delivers a long lasting sting to the target with one of the fastest invocation speeds ever recorded. Mize is not an easy ability to learn, and manual aiming is also the other downside to the ability, but this spell has virtually every advantage a wielder would ever need. Mize can easily pierce through tough armor too.

Side/Secondary Effects
The person hit by this beam will suffer from a stinging like pain at the impact site for a long duration of time. This kind of pain can become quite intense, as the spell is specifically designed to inflict more pain than it is to reduce HP.
Manifestation
Mize has a difficult manifestation to describe. Most see a narrow dark grey beam of pure energy for a flash of a moment, and that is all there is to it. The glyphring associated with this spell spawns instantly when the MP energy is released, so the beam that fires from the glyphring does so in a way in which noticing the glyphring's presence or holographic light before the appearance of the beam is physically impossible. But once the beam fades, the holographic glyphring actually lingers phased in the air for about two seconds, leaving behind a visual mark to prove that Mize was used properly. This glyphring is very small compared to others, and carries a different shape than a perfect circle or disk. The exterior edges of the glyphring do round out perfectly, but there are hollowed out sections that create four patterns of arched crests equidistant from each other, as if designed from some ancient religious symbol.
Mize is shot from the wielder's hand, but contains no auto-aiming properties like most spells. That means that despite the advantage in instant invocation, that wielder needs to maintain a perfect balance and aim when executing this spell down the line. It can be rather easy to miss, and the MP cost is quite high to make a mistake.
Upon firing this beam, a loud very-high pitch noise is emitted at the same time, lasting for about the same duration of the evanescent beam. The noise level is produced at roughly 100 decibels. The beam resembles the manifestation of Ice Beam in terms of its duration and noise production.

Gestures & Ritual
Ice Beam is not particularly required to learn the spell of Mize. Mize is difficult to learn because it is difficult to understand. Because the spell is executed in the form of a beam, it helps wielders who have already learned a spell that similarly uses a full level beam attack of a lower level spell, such as Ice Beam. There are not many other spells that are similar to Mize while at the same time weaker. Flameburg would be the only other spell, but its power level is already high enough to rival Mize.
