Photon Burst

Without making a significant change in the MP cost, Photon Burst is simply an alteration of Photon Blast's secondary variation. The wielder of this spell changes the initial spawn location and angle of attack direction to bombard the target from high above. This aerial bombardment rains down on the target field with powerful blue photons of non-elemental magic that each carry a small explosive force on top of their ordinary magical signature. But because these bolts are crashing down from above, the extra kinetic acceleration due to gravity adds somewhat to the total power level of each bolt, making this upgraded version of Photon Blast a more powerful variation simply by the manifestation choses. Though this skill does not require a glyphring, some wielders may use a glyphring for extra MP cost since spawning this spell without one can be difficult in practice.

Discovery

Jane Venn discovered this kind of spell through experimentation and coincidence. Photon Burst however is already an existing ability discovered by other independent wielders around the same time. There were multiple wielders who figured out this advanced technique around the same time, so the sole inventor is unknown.

Gestures & Ritual

The wielder using this spell charges energy into their hand of dispersion, remotely controlling the spell from afar. Their arm should raise high up, and then be shoved downward as a controlling trigger mechanism for the spell when MP energy is fully charged and released.
