Shadow Force

Shadow Force is an ability native to dark magic, but one that can also be adapted to work under the format of Leray magic for a strong reduction in power level. The spell is similar to a kind of Multi-Cast variation, generating three powerful Shadow Waves that all strike the same location from different locations and angles of attack, and one additional dark glyphring that fires out four powerful but phased photons of non-elemental dark magic energy that easily drill through most materials. Each of the red Shadow Waves are three times as large and powerful as a traditional Shadow Wave. The dark photons are very difficult to see, and actually hit the opposing wielder before the Shadow Waves make impact, causing a kind of interruption that makes dodging the Shadow Waves more difficult. In total, the spell inflicts slashing and piercing damage without using elements all while keeping the dark magic format, so that it may inflict real time damage for a fair MP cost. While most dark magic spells are all devastating, Shadow Force is one of the more balanced abilities; not as lethal, but easier to invoke and cheaper to summon.

Manifestation

Most of this spell has a red coloration due to the use of dark magic. The dark photons however have a nearly black shadowy appearance that is mostly transparent, making them difficult to see during night fall or poor lighting conditions.

Discovery

Shadow Force was actually an artificial Leray ability designed to be amplified and reused in a dark magic format so that its accumulative power level would be worth the MP cost. This proves that most Leray abilities can be altered for serve dark mages in ways other than being generally Enraged.

Most dark magic spells require a wielder to tap into their inner rage and anger, or general hatred for something before they can properly invoke dark magic, which often leads to the lure of dark magic sucking in their mind and addicting them to the sensation entirely. Certain dark magic spells require different intensity levels of this rage and hatred, while some do not require it at all, like the spell Star of Darkness and Dark Lite. Shadow Force is a spell that requires a lot of training with ordinary Leray abilities to control manifestations.
