Shotgun Blast

As the name of this skill implies, Shotgun Blast is another gun skill (a name of a skill that does not need to use magic or any special incantation to work), in which the user simply fires any series of approved shotgun weapons to their target. These shotguns are built (and sometimes imported) as live ammunition guns, and as such must be well maintained and stocked with real bullets. Using live ammunition increases the damage rating two-fold, but generating the ammunition by conversion of kinetic non-elemental magical energy is also possible, for the price in total power level.

  Those who take shotguns into battle can have a blast at medium to close range combat testing their opponent's skills against such a weapon. Shotguns are not at all lethal in Sprawn Valley, but their total damage level can pack a large punch in both kinetic energy and piercing damage. In effect, the only time magical energy is ever involved is when generation glyphrings are used to spawn the weapon into the wielder's hands should the shotgun not be their primary choice of weaponry prior to battle. One does not even need to officially own a shotgun in order to call one out using a generation glyphring. Of course, using these glyphrings severely limits the duration and power level of how long the skill can last. One generated shotgun is only good for an average of four shells, at most seven.

Side/Secondary Effects

The veil has a fairly good pain absorber function for taking bullets, but in the face of guns that use live ammunition, the loud gunpowder blast when heard at close range can still damage hearing when overused. It is recommended for all wielders expecting this in a Leray battle to wear noise-canceling auras prior to battle (which have a thirty minute time limit for a 50% noise reduction potential).

Manifestation

For those using live ammunition and real shotguns, the weapon and ammo is all very real and works like a real gun. There are various approved shotguns and subsequent ammunition. Most wielders do not wear the ammo on belts or chains; rather they carry the ammunition in special reusable compression orbs which are then stored in supply spheres, to be called out during battle.

For wielders who rely on the skill using generation glyphrings, the glyphring size is larger than usual, but still the same bright yellow in color. The 500 Tactical Shotgun is often spawned from this skill using a pixilation effect from the generation glyphring, while the ammunition is actually just a collection of low-energy low-power level collections converted into non-elemental kinetic piercing energy and disguised as real shells. The generation does not take very long for seasoned wielders, and the gun is preloaded this way, but disappears within several seconds, or if all shells are expended.
