Side-Liner

Side-Liner is an interesting ability that is based on misdirection, more effective against other wielders who do not yet know what Side-Liner is or how it works. The user launches a small blue bolt of magic traveling forward at an average rate of speed. Once the bolt is about halfway from the target, the sphere vanishes completely. Just as this sphere disappears, a new flying Shadow Wave appears from either the left or right side of the target, heading straight for them from the remaining distance the sphere had previously to advance. This Shadow Wave spawning from the side makes it unlikely that the target wielder will notice this spacial shift in time to block or avoid the ability. Like all Shadow Waves, this one can be avoided in time if the wielder quickly maneuvers forward or backwards, or can quickly ascend upwards above the crest of the wave. The Shadow Wave in question is slightly more powerful than a standard Shadow Wave spell, but not by much. However, the Shadow Wave from Side-Liner carries a lot of additional kinetic force if contact is made, sending some wielders flying once the wave cuts and damages them.
