Sonic Thunder

Sonic Thunder is a summon ability not learnable by humans, specific to the Phantom Drake as summoned by the Phantom Storm spell. The Phantom Dragon makes use of its best area attack skill, collecting both wind elemental and electric elemental energy from a mixture of its personal MP source and the aerial environment that the Phantom Storm summoning spell initially created. The dragon uses the darkening storm in the sky to its own advantage, drawing the potential wind and electric energy from two sources as it charges this skill for just a couple of seconds. When the ability is charged, the dragon makes another low sweep pass above the target's general area after picking up immense speed. When the dragon passes over the field or area of combat, it drags behind itself a wide area blast of wind that drills through the entire field below the dragon at the speed of sound, causing severe distortions all over the place and to the target. But this is only the initial phase of the spell. This incredibly powerful wind carries with it millions of invisible pockets of high voltage static electrical build up. When the wind begins passing over the field, all of this electrical energy is dispersed through the air with a very high current, affecting the entire area with random surges of electricity in so many areas that it appears to resemble a domical Thunder Flare with the size of the entire battlefield. All targets in this field are blasted by wind that also electrocutes them with heavy electrical damage. Magical energy is used to raise the current rating of this static electric discharge field, amplifying the damage as it lasts for several painful seconds of time. Unlike Thunder Flares however, this electric field is very difficult to see with the eyes even as the discharges bombard the area. The pain starts off low and gradually rises with the damage level to yield devastating consequences. Sonic Thunder is one of the most impressive skills the Phantom Dragon knows, as this technique can be used to target a very wide number of enemy combatants near the same area with a conservative MP cost. However, unlike all other abilities that the Phantom Dragon knows, Sonic Thunder does not contain the infusion of dark magical energy, so it will not inflict real time damage unless the wielder's endurance level is insanely low.
