Sphere Incorporated

Sphere Incorporated was the first official company to design the magic sphere capsule system, enabling the use of delayed spells from one wielder or mage to another based on separate internal crystal activation. They designed and sold spell bombs and other magic orbs for some time. But considering the cost this came with, the company struggled to hold itself together financially.

History

In order to soften the growing financial problems faced by a lack of orb popularity (since Leray magic wasn't too widely used at this time), the company decided to create more powerful orbs at a cheaper price. They grew desperate in their final decade, turning to closed-door human experiments involving untested orbs, including in a few later cases usage of orbs to develop a means of installing illegal symbols without the direct assistance of a magical mark artist. Other scandals ensued and stacked when the company launched an initially popular spell bomb that created negative health effects twenty days after usage, releasing them to the market only to be recalled days later.
After facing the legal and financial consequences of losing court cases, the business suffered a financial collapse of which it would never recover from, around the same time its CEO was imprisoned for illegal human experimentation and endangering human society. Following its collapse, the Mage Council made an agreement to separate small entrepreneurs to take what legal assets were left of Sphere Inc. and try to make something more useful out of it. With sometime in the same year, the Sentiment Company was born. And ever since, they have not had a single national court case or a public scandal; their succession successful.
