Spirit Blade

Spirit Blade enchants the sword with the ethereal elements of Leray magic, adding a tremendous amount of power and force through the blade for any successive strike used after the enchantment takes effect. The damage aura around the blade can last for a while, and because spirit elements are involved, any kind of direct contact with this aura whether damaging or not can still inflict the secondary effect of confusion onto the opponent. Spirit Blade is hard to master and runs a lot of MP energy to work, but is a very effective strategy in combat.

Side/Secondary Effects

If the sword is generated through a glyphring, the blade and the aura itself will take twice as long to invoke, while aura itself will last for only half the average duration than when used normally. Wielders who are hit with spirit elemental magic may succumb to strong confusion or mental fog, which in turn may debilitate one's ability to properly invoke difficult magic spells. Spirit elements are also highly effective in this manner against non-human targets in terms of HP reduction.

Manifestation

The aura around the blade has a strong shiny glow of transparent colors of pink and green mixed together, though this color is often too transparent to notice at all. The wavy energy radiates from the blade, making itself known through its intense power. Incredible sounds can sometimes be heard when the sword is used to swoosh with this aura active.

Material Components

While totally optional, Ethereal Infusion Orbs have the ability to invoke Spirit Blade to a prepared weapon without the use of one's personal MP energy. With a steady supply of these orbs, one can use this spell without using their own magic.
