Spirit Volley

This skill has the same payload form of Volley with added effects. With each of the arrows coated with a spiritual link from the wielder, they carry more damage potential with spirit elemental damage added to their piercing factors. MP consumption goes up while the spirit element is added on to the existing power level of the skill.     Predecessor Spells: Volley

Side/Secondary Effects

This skill inflicts a moderate amount of pain to the target. Given the spiritual element involved, the targeted wielder (if human) may become confused or disoriented from the spirit elemental magic in each arrow. Against specific summons, the damage element is amplified instead.

Manifestation

Spirit Volley, whether fired from the single arrow or invoked from an aerial glyphring launches about 70 or more arrows from a high location to a lower location. This barrage travels very quickly and is difficult to evade given its higher area of effect. Not all arrows will hit the target, but more than one arrow is likely to pierce the targeted wielder. The manifestation is all similar to Volley. Spirit Volley simply adds the ethreal element of magic to all arrows used in the skill.

Material Components
A bow and arrow are required to use this skill. While arrows are generally created as temporary ammunition objects from magic, they cannot be used without a bow to handle them.

Effect Duration
2-3 seconds before the skill hits the target. The after effects of spirit magic on humans may last up to 22 seconds from this skill.
Effect Casting Time
In either method, Spirit Volley's initial invocation is not lenghty. It takes about 3 seconds for beginners to charge and prepare the needed MP to create the spell.

Applied Restriction
If the wielder does not have a bow and arrow, this skill cannot be used. Even when using the glyphring varient of this spell, a bow is needed in order to create the effect of volley. Additionally, this won't work with a bow that has been artificially generated by a generation glyphring.

Deeper connection with the ethereal element as well as an understanding of what the ethereal plane is like is required before success is observed with spirit elemental spells.
