Term: Lunar Crystal

Lunar crystals are simply magical crystals that store pure lunar energy which has not yet undergone the conversion process to create Leray magic from that energy source. It is often necessary to store large quantities of pure lunar magic before converting it into usable Leray magic. Lunar crystals without reconfiguration cannot store or use Leray magic or dark magic  energy formats. A myth states that lunar crystals that are charged can be used by mages to invoke pure lunar magic, but this has been confirmed as false information by the Sprawn Valley government. Other corporations are however getting into the idea that unconverted lunar energy may be carried over into a more powerful form of electricity that can produce proportions closely rivaling that of nuclear energy.
The crystal core of Eldora Tower is made of a collection of Leray crystals and pure lunar crystal spheres that capture and store tons of pure lunar and Leray magical energy for its reaction process. Lunar crystals are considered more valuable because they can be dismantled and reconfigured for either Leray crystals or dark magic crystals.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The internal materials of the crystal reflect incoming moonlight towards the condensed central core of the crystal, making it a portable power source. Lunar crystals can only hold lunar energy. Leray magic nor dark magic can be stored in these crystals.

Significance

Lunar crystals were the initial origin of any basic form of magic, developed by Agies Fardran to prove that magic energy can be harness from the moon through light redirection and amplification. Lunar crystals hold pure lunar magic, something needed before it can be converted into Leray magic or dark magic. Thus, without these crystals, all magic on Earth would never exist. They are also an important ingredient for the crystal core's constant function and maintenance.
