Weapon: Short Sword

Short swords are the most common melee weapon in Sprawn Valley because of all the various spells that can be combined with swords. Short swords don't have as far of a reach as long swords, but they often weigh less and make it easier to move around the field of combat. Recommended for beginners and basic Leray wielders.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Short swords can be infused with elemental magical energy, which gives them an edge in inflicting multiple damage types. On their own, swords inflict physical slashing damage, but when used to stab opponets, act as a physical piercing weapon.

Significance

Less damage than long swords, but more initial speed.
