Big Brother

B.B. – 7.1.09 was an AI developed by the Nations United to try and replicate Y, the murder bot, an AI which had, seemingly independently, developed self awareness and an incomprehensive though pattern which was later theorized to be a singularity occurrence, the first to manifest in a non human entity.   Together with the British government the NU started a program to develop AI that closely resembled human though and emotions to test the prevalence of singularity occurrences in these systems. So far there have been no new AI occurrences but this program greatly improved British cybersecurity and their capabilities to engage in cyber warfare.   The British volunteered a BB series AI to the Academy, originally the school was set to receive a model 5 but due to push back from the Americans it was resolved that the AI needed improvements in vigilance and security capabilities to be provided by American contractors Warhead Industries and British state funded agencies, in the end both parties refused to cooperate due to fears of information leaks which resulted in the BB series branching out into two different models, model 6 being developed by the British and model 7 by the Americans.   It was finally decided the School would use the model 7 as the Americans had finished development faster than the British.   The race to provide the AI was essential for intelligence gathering inside the school as the BB AI is set to act as the school's security system and neutral liaison between the NU and the school, besides the BB will be trusted with school records, budget management and most administrative functions to be under the strict vigilance of the Executive Council of the Morrison Academy.
