Arcana Blade Lore
Strange, I know. but there are no accounts of dragons, trolls or ogres before the first Cataclysm. No Tales of flying citadel's or crawling fortresses churning their way across the land. Before the Birth of Magic Mankind used intricate mechanisms, explosive and dangerous chemicals to accomplish even the simplest of tasks. The tales of the lore are unclear as to when it happened. The Calamity must have been great indeed for the civilization of the ancients was said to be unmatched by anything before or since even without magic. A power had risen in their society much like magic is in ours . science, science it seemed ruled all. An implacable foe of Chaos! Science quieted the cacaphony of chaos and broke down the mysteries of the unknown...however , science loved no one. It cared not for the well being of those that chose to be its champions. When magic awakened in the world, on that day everything changed or so i am to understand. The birth of magic was a chain-reaction awakening the magic inside of every particle on earth and indeed the galaxy itself. Plants, animals and all the creatures of the world had the magic awakened inside of them. It is said that was the birth of the Primals and Deitons alike. But it wasn't just the living, even the stones of the mountains and the Waters of the rivers and the oceans were forever changed that day. Mountains rising up where Rolling Hills had been the day before, calm Rivers now raging with indignation. The Buildings and creations of man warped with the yearn of the magical particles trapped within their composite prison. Perhaps imbued with the perceptions of the living around them, the creations of man plunged into a cycle of magical birth and rebirth. The office building where workers had dreaded to go morphed into a powerful spire of dread. The mine shafts that had taken the lives of so many warped into a maze-like necropolis of restless souls. Many buildings expanded or inverted some sank into the ground others became parts of vast growing jungles and forest all over the world. For magic had changed the very nature of things.
