Humans

Humans are the main inventors of the system, as they are obsessed with knowledge and experimentation. Their approach to knowledge lies somewhere between caution and risk-taking, as they know that pushing too hard can have disastrous results, but also that risk is the only way to learn sometimes.

The humans are generally accepting of others, at least according to them, but many feel that they have a supremacy complex that makes them somewhat prejudiced. This caught the attention of Councilman Eric Schrauder, who famously stated the following: "I have heard the rumors and Parchi's (a well-known lycan equal rights activist at the time) statements that humanity is a prejudiced, supremacist race, and I want to put an end to this discussion once and for all. Humanity, as a whole, is the most accepting race in the system, no matter what that bastard lycan says!"

This did seem to end the debate permanently, although not for the reasons Schrauder had hoped for. Shortly after making that statement, he resigned his position in disgrace, and the system silently agreed to never publicly speak of it again.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humans are generally human-sized, with human ears, facial structure, and bone strength. They usually grow to the size of a human. (about 6 ft. maximum)

Growth Rate & Stages

Humans reach maturity around age 18, and tend to live to around age 90. They enter old age around 70.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Human last names tend to be all over the place, some are based on profession, color, landscape, and some have been theorized to be completely made up. Human first names are a little easier to pin down, as they generally only have origins from things that exist.

Beauty Ideals

Humans are largely attracted to thinness and large breasts in females, and large muscles in males. This does not necessarily mean females and males of the same race.

Gender Ideals

It is generally accepted that men and women are equal in humanity. The women do just as much work as the men, albeit in different ways. Most men do things like research, dangerous labor, and fight wars, while women mostly cook, clean, sew, and raise children, usually out of the banisters they've managed to get caught in.

These roles are not absolute, however, and it is not unheard of for women to develop technology, or for men to cook. Some women even partake in battle or go adventuring, although this number is limited, partly due to the general understanding that women have vital reproductive organs that men do not, and are thus slightly more valuable as a survival resource.

Courtship Ideals

Human courtships vary widely, some like to take it slow, others take it fast, but they usually involve spending time with one another, attempting to get to know one another, and arguing over whose turn it is to do the dishes.

Relationship Ideals

Human relationships are as varied as courtships. The ideal is usually one of mutual respect, trust, and chore charts that make it very clear whose turn it is to do the dishes. However, the results can often down-spiral into a series of arguments, brawls, and unwashed dishes.

Average Technological Level

Humans have some of the most advanced technology in the system, as they are the ones constantly pushing to advance it. They have unlocked space travel, and with it, they began the search for life more intelligent than they are. Opinion on whether or not that is a difficult feat is split.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Humans are the most accepting race in the system. They calmly accept that they are the most intelligent, and that most other races consider them stuck-up snobs. They also accept that the genetaur are low-life scum that crawled out of the sewers and should probably be euthanized for their own good. Other than the above, they tend to have moderately good relations with the other races.
