The Hunter-Hearted (Maràli Vossài)

The Sobek who still lead a life guided by war and strife call themselves the Maràli Vossài, meaning "of the Hunters' heart", in honor of the beast hunters of old.

Culture

Common Etiquette rules

Beign the more rowdy of Sobek cultures, not many courtesies and manners are found among them.
They do however adhere to a certain honor and have some self-restrain when it comes to someone who's earned their respect.

Common Dress code

Often the Hunter-Hearted are dressed in clothes that give off a more barbaric vibe.
There are some tendencies to honor the armor of the ancient warriors, but also a need to keep things light and practical.
Clothes that in particular reveals the most scaly parts of their skin is natural from the veneration of the scute skinned warriors, but as a response to the shunned human race, the parts of the Sobek body that are least human looking are also often accentuated.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Scars and regenerated tissue are signs of not backing town in a fight.

Gender Ideals

The ideal mate is strong and proven in battle regardless of gender.

Courtship Ideals

Dedicating a kill or donating a slain beast is a historically classic way of courting. Today delivering a corpse might not win many hearts, but a grand gesture in form of a big display of power might still do the trick - Especially considering that some are just out for good genes for their offspring

Relationship Ideals

Considering that Monogamy is viewed as a very modern and human thing most Maràli Vossài shun the idea, clinging to more classical Sobek sexual identities especially the ones that most humans find off-putting, like flaunting harems or blatant promiscuity

I made this world because my mind keeps rambling, and instead of stopping it, I'm riding the wave.
It started with a picture in my mind of a tiger man in a small spacecraft following a giant tiger in space, in the tone of old saturday morning cartoons and the Heavy Metal animated movie.
Then came the idea of his occational ally, a woman in space flying a small asteroid. The more I wrote on her, the more I got intrigued by the past, I deviced.
Right now the flow is focused on her background - namely all related to The Genesis Project.
I do all of the writing and almost all of the drawing myself at this point.
My hope for Star Tiger is a published story or a graphical novel, but my big dream is an animated show.
