Session 1
General Summary
One: Raxus Prime
At Terra Firma, Cale Endar and Maeveli Larkhorn are kicked off their current transport by the captain. He states he knows what Maeve is and can’t take the risk of harboring a Jedi. With little to do but argue, they are now stranded on Raxus Prime. They are briefly followed by Tar Tali’sar before he is confronted by The Forsaken, the local cartel, for a debt he owes of 3,000 credits plus interest. He is given two days to pay his debt.
Overhead, a Star Destroyer holds Jolder Kar’dral in its sights. She manages to evade the worst of the onslaught, but still ends up crashing into The Wastes, unwillingly donating her ship to the endless fields of scrap that adorn the planet. Tar watches the Y-Wing go down and heads out to investigate.
Jolder awakens to Mir Stodja asking if they are okay. Shortly after, Tar arrives as well, and the three encounter several womprats as they try to collect anything worthwhile from the wreckage. After they defeat the rats, Mir informs Jolder & Tar that there is a temple in the wastes worth investigating, guarded by golems and robots.
Cale and Maeve have settled in at The Waiting Sun Cantina to discuss their options. They notice a Dug enter the cantina with 4 others and seated at the opposite side of the bar. The bartender reveals the Dug is Jensa, the leader of The Forsaken. After Tar, Mir, and Jolder enter the cantina, Jensa accosts Tar for the money he is owed, and tells Tar to come to the arena that evening. Reluctant to draw more of Jensa’s ire, the three head to the arena.
Cale asks the bartender about a way off planet and learns that the next ship out isn’t for another month. And to make matters worse, leaving requires permission from Jensa. The cost is high and depends on what Jensa could want at the time. The bartender mentions the arena is an opportunity to make some money. Cale and Maeve also head to arena.
Mez is imprisoned at the arena. His captors berate him, provoking his anger - urging him to put on a good show to earn his lightsaber back. They then release him into the arena, using his lightsaber as a lure in the middle of the littered swamp they’ve set up. He dashes for his weapon, attracting the aggression of a Dianoga. Tar, Mir, and Jolder join the battle, while Cale and Maeve hesitate and are unable to reach the conflict before the beast goes down. All six manage to escape and travel to Mir’s hovel in The Wastes.
Arriving at the hovel, Mir enters a trancelike state, speaking in what sounds like nonsense, ranting about a mask. He draws a image that resembles a skull, then enters a meditative state. As darkness descends on the refuse, a large junk golem approaches the hovel. The jedi can sense the force within or surrounding it. As they all hide from the unnerving creature, Mir awakens from his meditative state and tells them that it comes from the temple and that it isn’t friendly.
