Session 13

General Summary

Thirteen: Tangled Up
Cale tries to find out what happened. The Mandos tell him it was therapy. They attempt to explain it and Cale is skeptical. He then talks to Maeve and learns what happened, and tries to reassure her he’s there if she wants to talk. Later, Richter leaves banana bread, tea, and an apology for Maeve.
They land on Naboo at the spaceport in Theed. Cale bribes the attendant to avoid registering our ship. Cosa’s friend San comes to pick us up and brings us to Cosa’s village.
Cosa retreats to her mother’s house, Richter and Jolder follow her. Cosa is looking for something that might lead to finding her mom. She checks on a project of her mom’s and reveals a ship. They cover it back up and head to San’s. At San’s, the group joins him for dinner. San reveals that he sent Mara to check on Patti, the Gungan. Neither have come back. He sent someone to check for them but didn’t find any sign of them. He tells us Mara took a pit droid with her. He also mentions there’s been a new weed some farmers have had trouble with - it doubles in size when it comes back. Says it’s mostly farms along the edge of the wilderness, mentions Lemmick & Earl might be able to answer questions about it. Jolder relentlessly hits on Cosa.
Cale finds a datapad that indicates Mara went to check on Patti in Keeltos.
The next morning, we catch a ride with San to the fields having issues with the vines. Jolder investigates the vines and finds them very tough, large, and aggressive-looking. Richter gets the sense that the vines need to just be left alone. The group then heads toward Keeltos, noticing large areas are covered in the clustered vines. As they head into the woods, Richter notices the sound of metal under his steps. Cale tries to cut it away but then realizes he should leave the vines alone. Maeve cuts the vines away and finds a speeder underneath. Cale finds a basket filled with dead slug beetles. He also finds some boot and droid prints down the rightmost path. They move through the swampy water, Tar notices a piece of metal near his foot and finds the brain of a small pit droid. Jolder is able to access the data. The video feed is distorted but the sound reveals a loud roar followed by silence.
Maeve notices marks of fingers being drug through the mud. They lose the tracks when they meet another pond, approximately calf deep. The water gets deeper as we move deeper into the woods. Richter gets yanked under the water. Maeve is able to force pull him back up. They keep moving, eventually emerging from the water. Maeve recognizes the path is changing both in front of and behind them. They continue forward.
They reach a clearing with an Eldar statue in the center. As they investigate the statue, they are attacked by Nexu. The Nexu are snatched up by the vines surrounding the clearing as 2 Drengir emerge from the vines and attack. After narrowly defeating them, Maeve notices a pathway in the vines where the ground has given way from swamp to durasteel plating. They find the vines seem to be growing from an old Imperial bunker. Jolder receives information on the location of her mother and explains that she has to go after her.
