Felucian

Felucians are a sentient species native to the plains and grasslands of the planet Felucia. Many Felucians are peaceful farmers growing Nysillin (A miracle healing herb), the major resource of the planet Felucia.
Felucians were short in stature, with thick legs and four-fingered hands. They had elongated heads with reptilian faces, similar to that of a tortoise, with beady eyes. Their skin varied in tone from orange to light green.
when the planet was discovered by the Gossam Tumbledrive explorers/colonists they encountered aggressive resistance from the native wildlife indicated that the world would not support large-scale colonies. The new arrivals established hard-fought, scattered resort settlements on the surface.
The Gossam convinced the Felucians that they had a common ancestor and took the role of ruling class over the simple farming Felucians. Felucians who were more resistant were driven into the jungles of Felucia and largely have vanished aside from rumors and tales.
Today Felucians struggle to get by on a world ravaged and polluted by the aftermath of the clone wars, but with the help of the Imperial planetary restoration project the Felucians have begun to cultivate successful crops of Nysillin once again.
