Campaign Rules
General
"The Threat from Within" campaign will utilize Star Wars: Saga Edition rules. All published books from the system (and therefore classes, feats, etc.) are available to be used, within reason.For Attributes, we will be using the point allocation instead of rolling, using the "Planned Generation" section on page 18 of the core rulebook. All Attributes will start at 8 and each player will have 25 points to spend to improve their attributes, using the following table:
Attribute Allocation
Score | Cost | Score | Cost | |||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
8 | 0 | 14 | 6 | |||
9 | 1 | 15 | 8 | |||
10 | 2 | 16 | 10 | |||
11 | 3 | 17 | 13 | |||
12 | 4 | 18 | 16 | |||

House Rules
- Athletics is a skill that now encompasses and replaces the following skills: Climb, Jump, Swim
- Characters' Destinies will be secretly chosen by the GM.
- The Feat "Skill Focus" has been changed. It now allows a character to add their full heroic level (instead of the normal 1/2 level) to their skill check, with a max bonus of +5 (which would be reached at level 10).
- When leveling up, instead of rolling for hit points, players will use the average of their class' hp die + 1 for the roll result (i.e. Jedi that normally would roll 1d10 for hit points would receive 6 hp: [10/2]+1). Characters still receive the full starting hit points and still add their CON modifier each level.
- Any force powers, techniques, or secrets taken from any book other than the core rulebook must have approval of the GM.
- A Force Sensitive character may spend a Force Point as a swift action and call upon the Dark Side of the Force to gain one use of the following powers: Dark Rage, Battle Strike, Force Grip, Force Lightning, Force Slam, Force Thrust
- Any Force Power requiring a standard action to activate will draw an attack of opportunity from melee weapon users within that character’s reach.
- We will not be using experience points. Characters will level up when the GM determines that they have sufficiently developed to warrant advancement (e.g. achieved something related to their motivation, tried and failed at something important to them, excelled at something at the core of their identity, pushed themselves to do something outside their comfort zone, etc.)
- At level 4, every gets a free respec. Missing a requirement a prestige class or finding out that it would take several levels to take your character where you want it to go can be frustrating as a new player in this game. The respec is limited to minor changes only and cannot significantly impact who your character is (e.g. Switching your 10 STR and 18 INT ability scores would not be allowed, but changing classes to pick up a talent or feat that fits better with your character concept would).
