Critical Vehicle Systems

Critical Vehicle Systems are the necessary components that keep a vehicle operational. They may be targeted by an attacker's Targeted Shot to cause direct damage to them lowering their condition. However, the Reflex Defense of the ship will be greatly increased.
  • Commlink Network. +10 Reflex Defense.
  • Computer Systems. +20 Reflex Defense.
  • Gravity Controls. +15 Reflex Defense.
  • Hyperdrive. +20 Reflex Defense.
  • Life Support. +10 Reflex Defense.
  • Sublight Engines. +5 Reflex Defense.
  • Sensor Array. +10 Reflex Defense.
  • Shield Generator. +5 Reflex Defense.
  • Weapon Systems. +5 Reflex Defense.

Critical System Conditions

Normal

Normal.

Impaired

The vehicle moves -1 on its condition track when this condition is inflicted. An impaired system imposes a -5 on all checks involving it.

Damaged

The vehicle moves -2 on its Condition Track when this condition is inflicted. A damaged system imposes a -5 on all checks involving it, and the checks are rolled with Disadvantage. Name of the System

Critical

The vehicle moves -3 on its Condition Track when this condition is inflicted. A critical system imposes a -5 on all checks involving it, and the checks are rolled with Disadvantage. Regardless of the outcome of the check, any use of the system has a 10% chance of damaging it further.

Broken

The vehicle moves -4 on its Condition Track when this condition is inflicted. A broken system imposes a -10 all checks involving it, and the checks are rolled with Disadvantage. Characters using the broken system must make a DC 15 Mechanics, Pilot, or Use Computer check in order to even operate the part. The vehicle also suffers a Persistent -1 on the Condition Track and additional penalties depending on the system broken.
  • Broken Commlink Network
  • Broken Computer Systems
  • Broken Gravity Controls. The artificial gravity controls on the ship are defective, all crew on board must make a DC 15 Endurance Check to treat the area as a normal gravity area, at the start of their turn.
  • Broken Hyperdrive. The hyperdrive on the ship is malfunctioning and all piloting checks that involve it must first make a DC 15 check for it to activate properly.
  • Broken Life Support. The oxygen levels of the ship are no longer properly regulating, all crew members have a Persistent -1 on the Condition Track and move an additional -1 when taking two or more actions in a turn.
  • Broken Sublight Engines. The sublight engines of the ship are only working at half capacity, all movement speeds are halved and the ship's pilot skill is halved.
  • Broken Sensor Array
  • Broken Shield Generator. The shield generator of the ship is faulty reducing its effectiveness. The SR of the ship drops by 50% immediately and the total is reduced by the same number.
  • Broken Weapon Systems. The weapon systems of the ship are wrecked, and all attacks take a -10 Penalty.

Totaled

The vehicle moves -5 on its Condition Track when this condition is inflicted. A totaled system imposes a -15 on all checks involving it, and the checks are rolled with Disadvantage. The vehicle also suffers a Persistent -2 on the Condition Track and additional penalties depending on the system totaled.
  • Totaled Commlink Network
  • Totaled Computer Systems
  • Totaled Gravity Controls. The artificial gravity on board the ship is malfunctioning, and the interior of the ship is treated as a Low Gravity Area.
  • Totaled Hyperdrive. The ship's hyperdrive is barely operable, all pilot checks involving the hyperdrive are rolled with Disadvantage, and the pilot must first make a DC 15 check for the Hyperdrive to function properly.
  • Totaled Life Support. The oxygen levels of the ship are running severely thin. All crew members have a Persistent -3 on the Condition Track and move an additional -2 when taking two or more actions in a turn.
  • Totaled Sublight Engines. The sublight engines of the ship are only working at quarter capacity, all movement speeds are quartered and the ship's pilot skill is quartered.
  • Totaled Sensor Array Totaled Shield Generator. The shield generator of the ship is failing, further reducing its effectiveness. The SR of the ship drops by 75% immediately and the total is reduced by the same number.
  • Totaled Weapon Systems. The weapon systems on the ship are crippled, all attacks take a -10 penalty and are rolled with Disadvantage.

Destroyed

The vehicle moves -6 on its Condition Track when this condition is inflicted. A destroyed system is non-functioning and the vehicle also suffers a Persistent -3 on the Condition Track and additional penalties depending on the system destroyed.
  • Destroyed Commlink Network
  • Destroyed Computer Systems
  • Destroyed Gravity Controls. The artificial gravity on board the ship has shut off, and the interior of the ship is treated as a Zero Gravity Area.
  • Destroyed Hyperdrive. The ship's hyperdrive is destroyed. The ship cannot jump to hyperspace until the damage is repaired.
  • Destroyed Life Support. The oxygen levels are totally depleted. All crew members must hold their breath and seek out breathable conditions elsewhere or with the assistance of equipment.
  • Destroyed Sublight Engines. The sublight engines of the ship are inoperable, the ship gains the stalled state until this is repaired.
  • Destroyed Sensor Array
  • Destroyed Shield Generator. The shield generator of the ship is destroyed. The ship's SR rating is reduced to 0 until the Generator is repaired.
  • Destroyed Weapon Systems. The weapon systems on the ship are destroyed and made completely inoperable. Any crew member on a weapon system station at the time of destruction must make a DC 15 Acrobatics (Dex) or Endurance check to avoid taking 2d10 Energy & Electrical Damage.
